A Love Letter to America

In 2025, I began a project titled A Love Letter to America. When completed, it will be a compilation of 50 paintings, one from each state in the US. I have traveled to most of the states to paint so far, and each piece represents a snapshot of the majesty of our beautiful country. The paintings are done in a variety of mediums.  This project asked the question, " What do we value? Will we do what it takes to preserve and protect the wild and natural places that serve all Americans as a transforming spiritual force?  Unless otherwise noted, these are pieces that have been painted au plein air using a proprietary technique that I call Ambient Observation.

Pastels

Each piece in my pastel collection, unless otherwise noted, is painted au plein air using a proprietary technique called Ambient Observation.

Micron Pen: Black and White

A grounding part of my art practice is work in Micron pen. I can trace the arch of my career and life by the evolution of these drawings over time. Each piece starts with a line or a movement observed in nature. They are intricate expressions of life ebbing and flowing from the arch of a single beautiful line.

A Drop in the Ocean, A Change in the Weather: Donations to Non-Profit Fundraising

The pieces in this collection have all been specifically created in support of non-profits working for change in our world. It is a small thing that one person can do, a drop in the ocean. But the ocean is  of made up of individual drops and the ocean influences weather.

Gifts

It is my joy to share an occasional original with family and friends.

Life in Georgia

ife in Georgia from an artist’s perspective is a study in contrasts, blending rich traditional Southern heritage with dynamic, contemporary urban scenes. Subject matter spans from coastal, swamp-infused folklore to the Piedmont’s urban landscape. The state has a strong sense of place, rooted in the southern folklore tradition.
