Artist Statement: A win or a loss; accepted or rejected; sales, no sales. This dichotomy of emotions that all artists experience is like being on a circus ride. My piece, the artist in me, represents this ride. These ups and downs influence us but they don’t define us. Relish in the excitement of a win, acknowledge the disappointment of a loss; then move on. Learn from each. For me, these words ring true but easier said than done. Disappointments can derail me and I loose site of my goals. I strive to remain positive, keep on making.
