Thank you for visiting the Arts in Medicine (AIM) at Huntsville Hospital - Artwork Archive site. The Arts in Medicine program began in 2018 as a way to integrate the arts into the healthcare environment. The program integrates literary, performing and visual arts into engaging, family-centered activities and exhibitions to help children, adults, and their families cope with a hospital stay.
At Huntsville Hospital Health System, the art collection and temporary art exhibitions play a crucial role in promoting overall well-being for patients, visitors, and hospital staff. During times of stress and illness, the arts have the power to nurture and engage. Art serves as medicine for the spirit, offering opportunities for reflection and inspiration. Art helps to humanize our clinical environment, lending meaning to the cycle of life and healing and art can also help us connect with our families and our community.
The Arts in Medicine Program is funded by donations to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. For more information, please email [email protected] or call 256-265-ARTS (2787).
