The plan was to shoot the Milky Way up until moonrise; we just needed a place. While searching on Google for a location, we noticed this small island along the Lake Superior shore, so we pulled off and hiked in. As the moon started rising, the Milky Way began to wash out, so I moved to watch the moonrise. If you are familiar with constellations, you will notice Scorpio to the right side of the image.
