Eyes are a big part of my work. At this time I am struggling with vision in one eye that blurs the world regardless of my efforts for clarity, and yet beauty comes through these little windows of mine. I love the simplicity of this piece of work. I see my struggle, between clarity of vision and the struggle to see. I don't usually paint without pulling together all the elements that finalizes a form (such as providing the sense of a face, or a form), yet the trifecta feels connected and hopeful.
