Self Portrait Series: Stretch in the Garden (2022)

This piece evolved over a piece that has been in storage a long while. When I don't show the work, when it sits quiet in the dark of my garage, it isn't breathing. It needs to become something else. And giving myself permission to let go, destroy, and reinvent my work is a powerful tool to learning to let go. It is reflective of my own reinvention and process, letting go, destroying belief systems that do not serve me, and bringing life to something new. This is #2 in the Self Portrait Series.
