Superb historic Thompson image of the Hong Kong waterfront in 1869, featuring City Hall on the left alongside Wardley House. This was the newly formed HSBC's first head office, literally the "home" of the bank with foreign staff and management living above the street level banking hall. Situated at number 1 Queen's Road, it is still the site of the bank's headquarters today.
