Intimate image of jazz legend Chet Baker with Helima taken in Redondo Beach, California in 1955.
Baker (1929-1988) was an American jazz trumpeter and vocalist, known for his major innovations in cool jazz that led him to be nicknamed the “Prince of Cool”. His well-publicized drug habit also drove his notoriety and fame and, at times, he pawned his instruments for money to maintain his drug habit.
