Beautiful pair of antique turn of the century folding Emperor Chairs with intricate carving, leather hide seating and metal plating.

The chair backs features beautiful carvings of a Qilin unicorn, the legendary protector, with the Five Bats - which represent the Five Blessings: longevity, wealth, health, love of virtue, and a peaceful death - and above are imperial dragons.

Purchased in Beijing in early 1990's, in super condition for their age. Available as a pair or individually.
