This piece explores gallaxies and nebula. The deep sky images were created using powdered glass and firing in the kiln until the powered glass completely used together. I cut strips of a transparent blue glass for the background and irridescent glass to represent the shimmering effect of the night sky. These strips of glass were assembled on edge into a square and held in place with kiln dams. The fused gallaxies and nebulae were placed on top of the irridescent strips and the entire structure was fused again to make it one solid piece. Presented in a wrought iron v-frame.
