Message
It was the first morning after arriving at the beach. I woke up early and glanced out through the curtains to see the beginning of sunrise. I stepped outside and realized I needed to walk to the beach where the views would be better and found myself nearly alone. Soaring above and standing along water's edge were seagulls. I knew I needed to give a nod to my early morning companion in the title for this painting.
