"Aren't You Coming" is part of Rimpo's Tapestry at the Mall Series. This young boy is testing his independence while he runs ahead of his family. Capturing a couple moments when he glances back to see how far back they are and finally deciding he needs to run back to the security they provide.
"Aren't You Coming" is one of my paintings included in "Portraits of Life: An Ekphrastic Anthology" with poems written by local artists. The book is the rsult of an event sponsored by the Ellicott City Poetry and Prose non-profit organization in conjunction with an exhibition I had with my friend Elaine Weiner-Reed at the Baltimore County Arts Guild (BCAG) Clubhouse Gallery.
This painting is gallery wrapped, where the images extends around the edge of the painting. No frame required.
