Inspired by a vintage photograph of my friend Ellie’s mother, this drawing captures both memory and presence with energetic lines. The piece emerged through a flurry of marks: raw, searching, alive, the figure seated in quiet strength. The drips and tangled strokes echo the way memory itself feels: layered, imperfect, human.
