Annie Wood
Hollywood, CA
My art is a love letter to the world, my exaltation to the WOW of it all.
MessageLos Angeles native Annie Wood is a multi-passionate artist whose work explores self-love, inner peace, and bold individuality. Across painting and sculpture, she creates expressive figures that carry motion, emotion, and a sense of presence, as if they’ve arrived with something to say.
Her paintings are driven by curiosity and layered process, where color and texture reveal the beauty of imperfection and the stories held within each piece. Alongside her paintings, Wood creates Loolies™, a series of sculptural figures that function as quiet protectors, part guardian, part inner voice. Each Loolie is named after what it’s thinking, giving form to fleeting thoughts, instincts, and emotional truths we often overlook.
Working across mixed media, Wood’s work invites a deeper connection to self, to intuition, and to the unseen forces that shape how we move through the world.
Statement
I have nature and art and poetry,
and if that is not enough,
what is enough?
- Vincent van Gogh
I create; therefore, I am.
I'm interested in the messy, in the wild, in the beautiful parts of being human. I have tons of creative energy and I use that in my art as an act of self-love.
I’m an imperfectionist, interested in the magic in our flaws. I like to create layered, expressive pieces that I hope inspire the viewer to celebrate their true self and creativity, kooky quirks and all.

To keep things safe in transit, I don’t ship glass. Any framed images you see are mock-ups to spark ideas and help you imagine how the art could shine in your space.
Also: Original works on paper often do have small irregularities, which is one of the things that makes them unique and part of the hand of the artist.
Thanks for supporting original art and for giving it a beautiful new home!
