A Study in Stillness is part of a small series of framed fused glass works exploring balance, spacing, and simplified geometric forms. I wanted these pieces to feel clean and focused while still keeping the layered texture and handmade character that runs through my larger work.
The glass panel is mounted inside a satin black shadowbox frame, which gives the composition a little more depth and helps the colors stand out. I kept the palette soft and restrained, with just enough contrast to create movement without making the piece feel busy.
This piece works well on its own or grouped with others from the series.
I added my signature glass "tattoo" design on the side of the frame which mimics the front and adds interest.
