I focused on layering transparent neon colors which reminded me of the high energy of going to see live music in Nashville. The sound, lights, and people around you create this fun yet sometimes jarring experience.

I titled the piece after the song “Suffragette City” by David Bowie because of the way he as an artist has always made me feel empowered to create and try new things. Also the song just freaking rules.
