The Devil’s Pit (Velnio duobė) is a Lithuanian natural monument in the Mergiskiai Landscape Reserve. A vast, funnel-shaped hollow, it said to have swallowed an entire church into its depths. Surrounded by stories of devils feasting and sacred ground undone, the site blurs the line between natural wonder and supernatural dread.
