Place this mosaic on a western facing shelf or window sill to really appreciate its intensity. This dense mosaic represents the concept of insights: You can perceive something from one angle and think you've understood it, but when you take a different (sometimes even opposing) position, you learn something new. I've recently developing my own new insights on my wants and desires: To create expressive art and to engage in new adventures. I started the piece with a discarded beveled table top and incorporated intriguing textured glass scraps with found items like broken jewelry, bike chains, washers, etc. The stand, which helps create the insights, was created from scrap metal by metal artist Victor Quiros.
