We Really Had It All was born out of desire to paint large 60's inspired eyes surrounded by a poured paint background. It was an experiment and the method was unpredictable. The finished painting feels apocalyptic. She is either walking away from destruction or accepting it as it comes towards her. The title is taken from the movie "Don't Look Up". The piece is a cradled birch wood panel with an acrylic painting, Behr house paint and pouring medium for the background and plastic gemstones decorating the sunglasses.
