Message
Rectangular steel slab features large abstract organic hole through middle. Hole is lined with knitted wool yarn. Crocheted yarn "grows" away from hole over surface of steel.
Interior presents an organic, curvaceous fibrous negative space within a rigid, rectangular steel slab. Its premise is that the wool fiber, knitted and crocheted fabric, is growing out from the interior of this steel shape, and over its surface. Interior presents the fiber as the inside material of the form, and invites the viewer to consider the two materials and how they interact in this configuration.
