This sculptural form draws on the enduring influence of the sea, evoking the slow transformation of surfaces shaped by time and tide. Constructed from fine iron wire, its open, mesh-like structure is layered with gilding and ink, creating a textured interplay of light, shadow, and corrosion. The edges are subtly adorned with semi-precious beads, suggestive of sea spray or encrustations gathered over time. Shaped by the Weight of Waves reflects on resilience and erosion, how continual pressure leaves its mark and beauty is revealed through change.
