Platter, 14.875 by 10.5 inches. Brown transfer. Maker is Anthony Shaw and the pattern has been documented as "Corea." Three groups of cartouches, branches with thorns, Oriental motifs, and flowers are placed around the inner well. The fourth "group" is a single dandelion plant. The pattern appears to be an assortment of objects grouped together to give an overall Oriental appearance. The border is a simple repeated triangle pattern.
