The Members’ Juried Exhibition, entitled Springboard, will open on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the Museum’s historic John N. A. Griswold House, one of the first examples of American Stick Style architecture and a vibrant space for contemporary dialogue.

Springboard invites Museum members to look at history not as something fixed, but as a living source of inspiration for today. Artists are asked to explore cultural inheritance, artistic lineage, and collective memory—whether by honoring tradition, questioning it, or reimagining it entirely. Selected works will be hung alongside highlights from the Museum’s permanent collection.

Award Info:

At the opening reception on January 22, 2026, guest juror Julie Keyes will present three awards: • Juror’s Choice • Emerging Artist Award • Award for Innovation

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Membership: Open to current Museum members at any level. Not a member? [Join now!]
  • Experience: At least 3–5 years of exhibiting experience is recommended.
  • Submissions: Each artist may submit 1–5 works.

Submission Guidelines

  • Digital Entry:
    Submit high resolution one digital image of the work (JPEG).
    Label files as: LastName_FirstName_Title_Medium_Year.jpg

  • Artwork Information
    Include the following in your submission email or entry form:
    Full name, address, email, and phone number
    Artwork title, year, medium, and dimensions (H x W x D)
    Brief artist statement (250 words max) connecting the work to the theme

  • Submission Process
    Submit via this portal
    Only complete entries received by November 15, 2025, will be considered.

  • Presentation Requirements
    Work must arrive ready to install (wired, framed, or otherwise professionally prepared).
    The Museum reserves the right to reject works that differ significantly from submission images or are not properly prepared for installation.

  • Sales & Insurance
    Works in this exhibition will not be for sale. While on view, all works will be insured by the Museum for the artist’s stated retail value.
