HGA Member Showcase 2026 From Handweavers Guild of America, Inc.

Produced by the Handweavers Guild of America, Inc. (HGA), HGA Member Showcase is an annual juried virtual exhibition celebrating the creativity, technical skill, and artistic vision of HGA members. The exhibition highlights recent work created within the HGA community and provides members with a highly visible platform to share their artwork with a global audience of artists, educators, collectors, and fiber enthusiasts.

 

Presented online, the exhibition removes barriers associated with shipping, framing, insurance, and travel, allowing members from across the United States and around the world to participate. The HGA Member Showcase is intended to reflect the breadth of contemporary fiber practice and demonstrate the vitality of the HGA membership.

 

Selected works will be presented in an online gallery on the HGA website and promoted through HGA’s digital channels and communications.

All entries must be submitted as digital images of completed work. 

When uploading your artwork images be sure to complete the following fields:

Required Images
One (1) image of the full artwork is required.
Optional additional images: one (1) detail image or alternate view (recommended for three‑dimensional work). 

Image Editing
Images may be color‑corrected to accurately represent the work but should not be enhanced. Editing is limited to cropping and adjusting the background to solid white, black, or gray. 
The artist’s name must not appear on the image.

Images of accepted work become the property of HGA for use in exhibition presentation, publications, and promotional materials, with credit given to the artist.

Artists are required to submit a brief statement (up to 100 words) describing the concept, inspiration, materials, or techniques used in the work. The artist statement must not include the artist’s name.  

Artist statements will accompany the artwork in the online exhibition and help viewers better understand the artist’s process and ideas. 

Entries will be reviewed by a panel of HGA member jurors. 

Jurors will independently review all submitted images and select works for inclusion in the exhibition. Entries will be evaluated based on:
•       Concept and artistic intent
•       Design and composition
•       Technical skill and craftsmanship
•       Creative exploration and originality
•       Image quality 

Due to the large size of HGA’s membership, a selection process is necessary to create a cohesive exhibition and ensure an engaging viewing experience.  

Not all works submitted can be included in the final exhibition. The jury’s decisions are final.

Artists may indicate whether their work is for sale or not for sale. If it is for sale, the price and artist contact information will be listed as provided. HGA will not process or manage sales transactions.
