Plein Air artists draw and paint from life, most often outside (en plein air is a French term meaning "out of doors"), capturing natural light.  The highlights and shadows can add drama to a scene, enhancing color, shape and texture.  This exhibit explores the art of local plein air artists, especially their representation of the interplay of light and shadow.

The exhibit will be displayed in the downtown galleries of the Fulton County Government Center, 141 Pryor St., SW,  Atlanta, GA  30303.

There will be opportunities throughout July and August for any interested artists to set up and paint during select lunchtime events.
