Mayor’s Art Show (MAS) is a long-standing annual exhibition showcasing local artistic excellence and celebrating Eugene’s creativity. Through engaging artists who live and work in Eugene, MAS goals are to enhance the cultural landscape of Eugene, foster meaningful conversations and inspire our community through the transformative power of art. MAS highlights artists with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and disciplines, demonstrating the vibrancy and uniqueness of Eugene.

Award Info:
Six awards of $500 each will be presented to the selected artists in each of the following award categories: Mayor’s 2D Choice, Mayor’s 3D Choice, Jurors’ 2D Choice, Jurors’ 3D Choice, People’s Choice and Curator’s Choice.Eligibility Criteria:

Artist Agreement and Waiver of Liability
Originality: I, the undersigned artist, certify that the art that I am submitting is my original art and that I am the author and creator of such art. If I have used AI in the development of my artwork, it is disclosed within the application.
Promotion and Publicity: I grant City of Eugene permission to publish in all media my name, artwork, location and submitted photos for use in promotion through print media, television and the internet. I further allow City of Eugene to release such information to other persons and entities. My name will be attributed to my pieces that are shown by City of Eugene.
Responsibility: I understand that City of Eugene does not assume responsibility for loss or damage to my artwork or the loss or damage to frames or glass, no matter how sustained. Reasonable safety and security precautions are in place to ensure added protection of my work. I also understand that City of Eugene strongly recommends that I carry my own personal property insurance.
Artwork remains in the gallery until the end of the exhibit; I understand that if my artwork is accepted for the show then the work may not be removed from the exhibition until the pickup date described in the Call for Art. It is my responsibility to notify City of Eugene in writing or by email of a third-party pickup of artwork at the conclusion of the exhibition. Artwork accepted by the judges, if sold prior to the exhibit, must be placed in the show. Replacement pieces are not accepted.
Acceptance of artwork: I acknowledge that City of Eugene reserves the right to accept or deny any submission at any point in the process.
Indemnification: Artist shall indemnify and hold City, and its officers, agents and employees, harmless from and against all claims, actions, liabilities and costs, including attorney fees and other costs of defense, arising out of the acts, errors or omissions, whether alleged or actual, of Artist, its subcontractors, agents and employees in performing or failing to perform the Services, failing to strictly comply with any provision of the Contract or any other actions or failures to act by Artist and Artist’s employees, agents and subcontractors. In the event any such action or claim is brought against City, Artist shall, if City so elects and upon tender by City, defend the same at Artist’s sole cost and expense, promptly satisfy any judgment adverse to City or to City and Artist, jointly, and reimburse City for any loss, cost, damage or expense, including attorney fees, suffered or incurred by City. City shall notify Artist, within a reasonable time, of any claim, threat of claim or legal action.
