Show Standards below.

    •    ORIGINAL ARTWORK - Must be the work and original concept of the submitting artist. Neither prints nor Giclees will be accepted.

    •    Keep it Fresh & Original! 🎨

    •    To make sure our upcoming show is a true showcase of unique talent, please ensure your entries follow these "strictly you" guidelines:

    •    Your Independent Genius: We want to see your  work! Please, it may be created as part of a formal workshop or classroom project.

    •    100% Original: No copies of other artists' work allowed. If your art is based on a reference photo, it must be a photo you personally took!

    •    A New Look: To keep our guild artwork exciting and ever-changing,

FRAMING & MATS -

    1    Frames should be sturdy, no loose joints, especially metal Frames

    2    Artwork should fit with no open spaces next to the frame. Check for obvious dings and scratches

• WIRING & HANGING HARDWARE

    1    D-rings or bar hangers and braided wire are required

    2    Wiring and hardware should reflect the weight of your artwork. Wiring should be 1/3 down from the top.

    3    Gallery wrapped canvas requires braided wire and hanging hardware

    4    Gallery wrapped canvas must be minimum of 1 1/2" on sides. Any canvas of smaller than 1

1/2' depth must be framed.

• CLEAN EVERYTHING

    1    Clean the frame and both sides of glass

    2    Avoid plexiglass that is aged and damaged.

    3    Mats must be clean.

    4    No saw tooth hangers. 

    5    Work not suitably or safely mounted is unacceptable.

    6    CERTIFICATION - The artist will complete an entry form which certifies that each painting submitted meets the Art Guild of Orange Park criteria for entering a juried show. Each artist will be required to sign the qualification form.

    7    SIGNATURE - During the judging, the artist's signature, on all submitted pieces will remain anonymous by being discreetly covered throughout and removed once judging process has ended.

    8    REMOVAL OF PAINTINGS - Accepted paintings cannot be removed without contacting the exhibition chair. 

    9    ALLEGATIONS - When an allegation is made that a submitted artwork does not meet the Guild criteria for entering a juried show, the artist of the artwork in question will be notified by the Exhibit Chair of the allegation and given the opportunity to respond.

    10    DECISION - After reviewing the allegation and the response of the artist, the Board will make the final decision whether to include or not include the submission in the show.

    11    CONSEQUENCES - If artwork is accepted into a show and subsequently found to have clearly violated the Bylaws and entry requirements, the consequences are as follows:

    12    The artwork in question will be removed from the show

    13    Entry fee(s) into the show will not be refunded

    14    The artist will forfeit any award and/certificate

    15    The artist will forfeit all monies/gifts received for the artwork in question

    16    The artist will not be allowed to enter another AGOP juried show from 1 to 5 years. The length of time will be determined by the Board. The Show Chairman shall inform the Judge and AGOP Receiving Committee of the AGOP Standards. Works not conforming to the above criteria and standards will not be hung.
