When the music begins, playfulness begins with it; along with fantasies of freedom and dancing with ideas. For childlike artists; music, play, and art classes were always the only reason waking up early and going to a boring school day felt worthwhile. In this joint exhibition — despite the differences in their artistic experiences— Walid Taher and Farahzada Elshihy revisit harmony, rhythm, and synchronization from music and dance lessons, the spirit of group play from sports games, and good mood from long art sessions. That experience became the inspiration behind the works presented in this exhibition. Some of the artworks were created collaboratively on a single canvas; while others are individual works by Walid and individual works by Farahzada. Through this exhibition, Walid and Farahzada invite you to listen to the colors of old sketchbooks and watch songs floating by with all the happiness we used to feel whenever the school bell rang; announcing the beginning of music class.
