Borne out of a series of daily meditation paintings, this piece embodies the significance and irrelevance of thought when creating. The clinging to knowledge dissipates when surrendering sight. The writing, illegible and faded was done eyed closed during a moment of contemplation. The resulting work itself becomes a surrender of needing to remember or understand, and instead relies on connection to feeling.
