The three Susan Jennifer Fabrics are from a collaboration with photographer Jennifer Anne Tucker which used fabrics to explore imagemaking. We became both photographer and model for each other, and occasionally worked with another artist, Harriet Rosenberg. C. 1980s. Images are archivally matted in white metal frames.
The series Vapor explores the poetic nature of Wyoming's skies and is a precursor my recent View from Home series. C. 2000s. I was inspired by its ever-changing delusive, transitory appearances and imaginary figmentation. I was and remain intrigues by the idea of capturing immense space in a small format, evidenced by the small print size of this work. Images are archivally matted in black metal frames.
The image Wendy, Margaret, Ucross is an early work from Sequencing Through Time and Place when we were in residence at Ucross. It was the beginning or our collaboration together. 2009. It is archivally matted in a white metal frame.
Egypt is from a series of images made while touring Egypt. Our travels took us from the tombs and pyramids to the austere landscape of the white desert. 2010. The images are archivally matted in white metal frames.
The work Amputated Tree is an experimental pinhole image made during a Ucross residency and is part of a series called Walkabout. 2017. It is archivally matted in a black metal frame.
