“The Remnant” is the eighth portrait of the "Transhuman Series" and recalls the situation and destiny of past human lives. An allusion to the consequences suffered by damage caused by conscious and merely human actions, such as environmental destruction, water and air pollution and violent encounters with intruders and all kinds. The portrait is a tribute to all “survivors.”

Following the concept of positive and negative in photography, each side of the diptych presents a contrasting perspective, portraying the consequences of past human actions and the resilience of survivors.
On one side, the negative depicts the damage caused by conscious and merely human actions, such as environmental destruction, pollution, and violence. The portrait symbolizes the consequences of humanity's past mistakes and their impact on the world and its inhabitants.
On the other side, the "positive" pays tribute to the survivors of these adversities, with an image that symbolizes resilience, hope, strength and the endurance of those who have (succumbed) faced and overcome the challenges brought on by human actions.
