This work arose from my frustration during the pandemic and the realization that our shared human experience was neither universal, compassionate, nor humane. After several attempts to reconcile dissonant emotions within the composition, I recognized that the division itself had to remain—that the work might feel unfinished, reflecting the unresolved nature of that time. The palette conveys darkness, frustration, and anger, while earth tones evoke a global perspective. Ultimately, the piece embodies my lack of peace with the situation and the profound uncertainty that defined it.
