In an attempt to reduce the palette to just one color, "Flow" happened. Using only the color "Payne's Gray" I diluted the paint to varying tones creating water like shapes. I was feeling very subtle and wanted a tranquil outcome. I really enjoy creating colors with water and letting the organic process of that distortion become parts of the painting. While wet, I etched line work using a rubber tip brush. Jim Dine was a big influence on me and this style of painting.
