Where my earlier works often wrestled with layered histories and dense emotional weight, these pieces represent an embrace of space, pause, and acceptance of change. The negative space holds as much presence as the painted gestures, reflecting moments of quiet reflection and emotional recalibration.
The palette, soft reds, pinks, yellows, and whites, feels like emotional sunlight breaking through long-held tension. These colors carry both vulnerability and hope, acknowledging the complicated beauty of returning to oneself after transformation.
"Stillness" is about allowing silence, allowing breath, resisting the pull to fill every space, both physically and emotionally.
