Stay'in Alive is part of The Architecture of Becoming series and continues the landscape element, interrupted by moments of tension and rupture. The use of domestic materials suggests ideas of repair, care, and the things we use to hold life together.
The work reflects my own process of moving through grief toward a deeper gratitude for life. Materials include silk kimono, linen, wallpaper, vintage maps, Thomas Guide pages, and waxed thread.
