Flowers have always been an inspiration to me in the wonder and intricacies of their construction. Color is important in the work as I use it not only to represent a flower but also as a metaphor for different emotions and events. I am also interested in creating new compositions with recognizable floral imagery. In this way, I hope the viewer will stop to notice something they may have taken for granted in their everyday lives.
