Ceramics by Philippa Mollet from Philippa Mollet

Philippa extends her research and exploration of layers, textures and (in)compatibilities into ceramics. In this medium, she exchanges the usual vibrant colours to work solely with shadow and light, hot and cold, limiting herself to the naturalness and nobility of this living earthy material. All pieces are hand built in slab construction in nerikomi style using different high and medium temperature clays. Use of colour glaze is very sparcely used and usually only on the inside of pieces. 

She has participated in several collective exhibitions and is represented in private collections, both in Portugal and abroad.
