“MIT DER WELT IM DORF ” describes the connection between a local living environment and the global art world. Since 2015, I have been living and working again in a rural setting — a place characterized by quietness and seclusion. At the beginning of my artistic career, I was internationally active, studying in Indonesia and traveling extensively. I see myself as a traveler, an artist with a global perspective. Today, I invite the world into my village: through ideas, digital networks, artistic exchange, and the awareness that has developed through decades of practice. My studio thus becomes a meeting point between the local and the global — a space of resonance where global themes are negotiated within a seemingly remote environment. Mit der Welt im Dorf represents the possibility of thinking, creating, and engaging globally regardless of geographic location, and of reconnecting beyond regional limitations.
