This sculpture was a surprise collaboration with the kiln. Initially this was comprised of 3 separate works, but they collapsed into one another in the heat of the kiln and I love the result. It features an orchid(my mother's favorite flower), an iris(my favorite flower) and a photo transfer of my mother on her wedding day in Vietnam. I think this work is about the legacy that is transmitted between generations, or alternatively the collapse between generations.
