We have a small farm. Nothing crazy – chickens, turkeys, pigs – just enough for our family. Attached to our house we have a three-season porch. When we moved in we had different visions for that porch. I wanted an outdoor dining room and my husband wanted a hot tub. Neither of us got what we wanted. It started with storing just a couple of bags of feed, then more chicks, and eventually it filled up with feed, buckets, brooders, hoses, planting supplies…everything. When other people talk about a farmers porch they probably mean a nice open porch on the front of the house, something to add to the curb appeal, maybe a couple of rocking chairs. Not us. This is our farmer’s porch.
