I didn’t have much time to paint this scene near Bar Harbor before the sky turned gray and cold and the colors became so dark they were hard to distinguish and my fingers got numb. Thankfully it went quick because I was using a very limited palette, only red, yellow, ultramarine-blue-deep, white, cool gray, and yellow ochre.
