This artwork is inspired by the idea that during the pandemic, we had lots of harsh images and words thrown our way. The soft, vulnerable parts of us, as represented by the centre of the flower, were pushed into and hurt. It is now our challenge to determine where those pins have entered, and gradually sooth and comfort those spots. By doing so we can move forward and experience joy and vulnerability with a sense of safety again.
