A residency in Bhutan reconnected me to a lightness of being. The land of the thunder dragon acknowledged my unwavering belief in the universe, laughed at my seriousness and reminded me of the importance of solitude and play in creative pursuit.
Building a creative community in regional NSW is part of my dharma (life purpose). This drawing holds the spirit of investigation and the importance of living alongside the natural world at its core. The essence of connection to place is palpable - right down to the earth pigment used in its making.
