Sensing Place investigates the processes and practices involved in making work outside. The unseen and behind the scenes bits that are alive with invitation to others to cultivate their own relationship with land.
‘Place palettes’, paintings, gatherings, geological samples, sketchbooks are included here. The programme at Bridport included workshops and an artist talk to expand on the theme and to invite others to 'sense into' their own relationship with the commune of places.

Everything is infused with the geology of each location, traces of weather, circumstance and happenstance, the palettes, sketchbooks and paintings being witness to and a record of time spent with the ever-changing Jurassic coast.
2026 marks 25 years since the Jurassic Coast was inscribed as a World Heritage site for its exceptional and globally valuable geology, palaeontology and coastal geomorphology.
