One of the first paintings ever owned by collector Kevin Miller, this painting by Charlotte Weston was purchased in 1996 from McRae studio’s when it was still on McRae Street in Orlando. The painting represents our singular life journey, into darkness and an unknown future. The captain of this little ship silhouetted against the fading light is steering into one of life’s many storms. The beautiful thick impasto paint is luxurious - the moon is shown as a thick blob of white paint, the waves are leaping off the canvas. This painting is charming yet raw.
