"After a decade-long career in the New York photography world, I have become reacquainted with the process of handmade collage. A medium I dabbled in throughout my childhood. The process of transforming existing imagery into new content has reignited my imagination. I take hundreds of book, magazine, and found material clippings which are then intuitively glued into layered compositions. Each collage contains loving landscapes filled with insects, animals, precious stones, and flowers. Heart shapes float in the sky, hover above the grass, or get lost in abstraction. I am interested in notions of romance, kitsch, and pop culture. Influences range from Hieronymus Bosch & Giuseppe Arcimboldo to Joe Brainard & Rene Magritte."
