About the artist

Dayi Novas

My name is Dayi (dah-YEE, she/her) and I grew up in the American South. I graduated in 2020 from The Cooper Union with a degree in design & painting; and from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in 2015 as valedictorian. My dog’s name is Timber.

I’ve designed typefaces, made little animations, worked on AOC’s campaign at this one design firm, hand-bound books. I draw and paint, and created Studio OUCH! LLC in 2021.
