"My work is about adding clean, expansive space into your mind; feeling comfort despite discomfort; feeling safe and towering. A recent series of paintings depict stretching landscapes that are meant to make you feel relieved, quiet, a bit grand. Within these spaces, I sometimes choose to embed secret elements that represent more frightening parts of my past.
After graduating in 2020, I started OUCH! Magazine: A Happy Magazine for Everyone, a monthly publication that provides an opportunity for myself and other artists to create and showcase work without the pressure of critique or client, no explanations or apologies needed. Colorful and energetic, it is a children’s magazine for adults who didn’t have a childhood. "
