Hedy's journey in the United States began with obtaining a Green Card and General Education Diploma (GED) in 2009. In order to support her education, she worked tirelessly in different jobs, including as a street vendor and an Uber driver. It was during her time as a street vendor that Hedy encountered the harsh realities and often overlooked struggles of this occupation. This firsthand experience deeply influenced her artistic direction, prompting her to shed light on street vendors – the unseen, hardworking individuals who contribute to the vibrant multicultural fabric of Los Angeles, a city we all cherish.
