Companion piece to "Winter", and "Spring", also made with watercolor and color pencils. The scene here is serene, a gentle slowing down of life as the weather shifts and the earth prepares to enter the cold.
All three pieces represent the exploration of life without the human being, of nature untouched, what I imagine when I think of the seasons, and gratitude for those animals that the earth stewards.
